Welcome to Getting Into Acting: First Steps!

A preface: It is not hard to become a working actor. I say this because our beliefs become our realities. If you believe that it's hard to become a working actor, you will prove yourself right. On the other hand, if you believe that you will have a fun and easy journey on your way to becoming a working actor, you will also be right. Let's take it one step further: if you believe that you already are a working actor, acting work will hurl itself at you at such a rapid rate, everyone around you will wonder how the heck you did it. "But you don't have an agent, how did you get that?!" Anything anyone else says is irrelevant. It is you who does the believing. You can achieve fantastic things just by thinking them. It's been proven again and again, so don't short change yourself. You are a powerful human being.
